HCC accepts refrigerators, freezers and window air conditioners. These need appropriate disposal because they contain refrigerant.
When requesting a quote, tell Devin which appliances need to go and where they are located. Photos help show their size and the access to them.
Washers, dryers, ranges, dishwashers, water heaters and microwaves can be included in the pickup. Clean metal is separated for scrap.
Some items need a different disposal route.
The Athens Community Collection Station at 500 Aaron Street, Athens is open Saturdays only, 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., excluding holiday weekends, to City of Athens residents only, and requires a driver's license and a current city water bill.
This station is not available to residents outside Athens city limits. Check the accepted items before loading, especially appliances that contain refrigerant.
