Commercial Cleanouts
Tenant turnover has a deadline attached to it, which makes it a different job from a garage that has been full for nine years.
Included
- Tenant turnover and rental prep
- Office and retail clearing
- Property manager and landlord work
- Foreclosure and eviction cleanouts
- Fixtures, shelving and signage
Rentals between tenants, retail units being handed back, offices being downsized, and storage that came with a building somebody just bought. The work is the same; the clock is not.
The Athens Community Collection Station is residential-use only and does not accept commercial dumping at all — so for a business inside the city limits, the nearest municipal option is closed to you before you start loading.
Scheduling can work around the hours you actually need it done, including outside a normal weekday where the schedule allows.

The county refuses exactly what you need gone.
The Athens Community Collection Station at 500 Aaron Street, Athens is open Saturdays only, 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., excluding holiday weekends, to City of Athens residents only, and it wants a driver's licence and a current city water bill at the gate.
If you live anywhere else in this county — which is most of it — that station is not available to you at all. Federal Clean Air Act §608 requires refrigerant to be recovered with certified equipment before an appliance is scrapped. That is why the stations turn refrigerators away — it is not arbitrary.
Turned away at the gate
- Appliances containing Freon
- Hazardous waste
- Construction debris
- Waste oil and fluids
- Asphalt shingles
- Tires
- Dirt
- Batteries
