Garage Cleanout
A garage fills up in one direction only. Nothing has ever been carried back out of one voluntarily.
Included
- Single and two-car garages
- Metal shops and pole barns
- Sheds and outbuildings
- Shelving and workbench removal
- Scrap metal separated out
A single-car garage is usually one to two hours. A two-car garage can run to half a day, and a metal shop on acreage is its own thing entirely — those are measured in trailer loads, not hours.
The work is carrying, not just loading. Most of what needs to go is at the back, behind the thing in front of it, and has to come out past a water heater. That is the job. A pickup truck in the driveway does not solve it.
Shelving, workbenches and cabinets can come out too if you want the walls back.

The county refuses exactly what you need gone.
The Athens Community Collection Station at 500 Aaron Street, Athens is open Saturdays only, 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., excluding holiday weekends, to City of Athens residents only, and it wants a driver's licence and a current city water bill at the gate.
If you live anywhere else in this county — which is most of it — that station is not available to you at all. Federal Clean Air Act §608 requires refrigerant to be recovered with certified equipment before an appliance is scrapped. That is why the stations turn refrigerators away — it is not arbitrary.
Turned away at the gate
- Appliances containing Freon
- Hazardous waste
- Construction debris
- Waste oil and fluids
- Asphalt shingles
- Tires
- Dirt
- Batteries
